President

As founder and President of Bluestone Life, Nathan directs the company's strategy, fundraising and partnerships. Born and raised in Vermont, he specifically chose to found the company here to align with Vermont's commitment to sustainability, the beautiful seasons, and to be near family.

Prior to founding his first company in 1999, Nathan worked with business owners as a representative of several financial services companies beginning in 1992.

Nathan is a lifelong learner, coffee aficionado, fitness devotee, and family man who is committed to making a tremendously positive impact on the world. 


Executive Assistant to CEO

Olivia supports Nathan by fostering relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. She manages schedules, travel logistics, and corporate communications to optimize productivity and ensure our office runs fluidly.

Olivia is a new graduate of the University of Vermont, where she majored in marketing and accounting, with a minor in applied design.  A Vermonter through and through, her passion for sustainability is a perfect fit with Bluestone’s mission. In her free time, she practices yoga, soaks up the sunshine, and finds waterfalls to enjoy in the Green Mountains.

 


Vice President & Controller

Brody leads finance and accounting for Bluestone Life. Throughout his career he has led various audit and accounting advisory service teams in property, casualty and life insurance, along with retirement service and health care companies ranging from complex multi-national SEC registrants to private insurance companies. 

Beyond Bluestone, he is an active board member of The ALS Association - Massachusetts Chapter.

Brody's interests vary from gardening and woodworking, to cycling and cheering for the Bruins. A native son of Vermont, he lives in Jericho with his wife and 3 children.

 


 Project Manager

Julie wears many hats at bluestone, and as project manager, oversees planning, implementation and tracking of all Bluestone projects. Her organization skills and flexibility keeps everyone on track - ensuring we stay the course and achieve our objectives.

For more than 15 years she has helped businesses with relationship management and creation of company infrastructure that promotes growth and creative cultures. From developing systems that streamline operations and improve efficiency to enhancing morale and employee productivity.

When she's not keeping us in line, she loves hiking, trying new restaurants, and indulging her love of travel.


Director of Strategic Initiatives

Eric is Bluestone’s legal “benefit officer” and is primarily responsible for negotiating and finalizing the company’s contracts. He also assists with overall strategy, fundraising and core third party relationships.  

Prior to joining Bluestone Eric practiced law, and participated in business development, sales & marketing, and M&A roles in one publicly held company, two mature privately held companies, and three start-ups.  Eric maintains a Vermont law license as well as Vermont real estate broker’s license.

Outside of the office Eric likes to cross country, back country, and alpine ski, mountain run, cycle, and read – mostly non-fiction.  A graduate of Burke Mountain Academy and Middlebury College, Eric has lived in Vermont for more than 25 years.  He now lives in Shelburne with his wife and two children.
