The Role

Are you that rare individual who would embrace the opportunity to utilize your insurance expertise and sales skills to improve the health and resilience of families, communities, and the planet? We're seeking an experienced, mission-aligned insurance agent to join our growing team. As a trusted advisor, you'll help customers align their planning with their values while building lasting relationships that strengthen our mission.

You'll present Bluestone's vision and curated products to mission-aligned individuals, companies, and networks – recommending life and disability income insurance and annuities tailored to their unique needs. As a key team member, you’ll collaborate with senior leadership on strategy, marketing, and customer experience. This position offers incredible growth opportunities for a motivated individual who wants to be part of redefining insurance as a force for good.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving mission-aligned sales as a trusted advisor who thrives on an educational
    approach and a desire to improve the lives of our customers.

  • Translate insurance products into clear, purpose-driven benefits.

  • Manage inbound leads and proactively cultivate new relationships and sales.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement in sales processes for an exceptional client
    experience.

  • Be a Bluestone ambassador to our remarkable nonprofit partners and fellow
    mission driven organizations.

Skills, Attributes, and Experience

  • Consultative by nature: Exceptional communication (including deep listening)
    skills with a gift for building lasting relationships and inspiring trust.

  • Mission-aligned: Passionate about utilizing business and the unique power of
    insurance to drive positive social and environmental outcomes. You are a
    "practical activist" who volunteers time, skills, and other resources.

  • Intrapreneurial: Highly self-motivated and independent while thriving in a team
    environment that collaborates to advance the mission.

  • Connected: Experience working with closely held business owners and
    comfortable collaborating with fee-only wealth managers and CPAs.

  • Responsive: Quickly return correspondence, analyze needs and effectively deliver
    solutions, managing activity with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.

  • Licensed & experienced: Life & health insurance license with 10+ years of
    successful life insurance sales experience and diverse planning expertise (CLU,
    ChFC, CPWA, or CFP designations preferred).
